This policy applies to the Pools.bh platform — the pools.bh website (including its pool subdomain pages) and the Pools.bh Owner mobile app for pool and chalet owners (together, the “Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy; this page explains what data we collect and how we use and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

From pool owners (via the website or the app):

• Account details: pool name, username, and password (stored hashed — nobody can read it).
• Contact details: email address, phone / WhatsApp number, and optional social handles (Instagram, TikTok).
• Images you choose to upload (such as your pool’s logo).
• Pool settings: sessions, prices, rules, and the payment details you display to customers.

From customers (guests who book):

• The name and phone number entered when making a booking.
• Booking details: date, session, and amount.

From the Pools.bh Owner app:

• Your device name and a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver booking alerts to your device.
• The app does not collect your location or contacts, and contains no ads or advertising trackers.

Automatically:

• Server logs and IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
• The website uses Google Analytics for usage statistics (the mobile app does not).

2. How We Use Information

• To operate and manage the booking service: calendar, bookings, receipts, and the owner dashboard.
• To send notifications about new or cancelled bookings: email, push notifications, WhatsApp or SMS messages.
• To communicate with you and provide support.
• To protect the Service and prevent abuse.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes. We share only the minimum necessary with service providers working on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — to deliver push notifications to the app.
• A WhatsApp or SMS messaging provider — to deliver booking notifications.
• External booking marketplaces (such as Barayahna) — only when the pool owner enables syncing in their settings, and limited to the booking data needed to prevent double-bookings.
• The hosting provider that runs our secure servers.

A customer’s name and phone number are visible to the pool owner they booked with, for managing the booking and contacting them about it. We may also disclose data where required by law.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep data for as long as the account is active and as needed to manage bookings. Pool owners may request deletion of their account and all associated data, and customers may request deletion of their booking data, by contacting us using the details below — we honor deletion requests within 30 days. Unused push-notification tokens are deleted automatically.

5. Security

All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, passwords are stored using one-way hashing, and sensitive settings are stored encrypted. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so please keep your password confidential.

6. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will always show the last-updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of it.
